FICA & DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION:

The following documents are required in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act no. 68 of 2008), Regulation 26 Bidder’s record, 26(2). Read with Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001.

Please note:

Registration will only be allowed if all below mentioned documentation has been obtained by Claremart Auctioneers (Pty) Ltd, together with the proof of payment of the R5 000 deposit (payable by EFT only).

Identification Document (green bar-coded ID book OR Smart Card ID) for RSA citizens.

Passport AND South African Traffic Register for non-RSA citizens / residents.

Proof of residential address.

COMPANIES & CLOSE CORPORATIONS:

Proof of business address.

Proof of residential address of all directors / members.

Resolution letter confirming the registered representative/s can purchase on behalf of the company.

SARS letter with VAT number (Notice of registration).

All directors / members ID Book OR Smart Card ID OR Passport.

Proxy details / BRN certificate / Dealer-stocking certificate / Traffic Register Certificate (from the Motor Licensing office).

Proxy letter and the Representative’s ID Book OR Smart Card ID OR Passport.

Business certificate of Incorporation (CM / CK documents).

CIPRO print out (to confirm the identity of all members or directors) NOT OLDER THAN 1 (ONE) YEAR (Please note: self-printed copies from Windeed, Searchworks etc. may not be used).

Letter from the entity’s accountant / auditor / company secretary / director / other authorized person confirming the names of those holding 25% voting rights at general meetings. FICA documents as above are required for these entities or individuals.

SOLE PROPRIETORS:

Identification Document (green bar-coded ID book OR Smart Card ID) for RSA citizens.

Passport AND South African Traffic Register for non-RSA citizens / residents.

Proof of residential address.

Proof of residential address of proprietor.

Letter from external accountant / auditor confirming the existence of the business as a sole proprietor.

If VAT registered, SARS letter with VAT number / registration certificate.

TRUSTS:

Identification Document (green bar-coded ID Book OR Smart Card ID) for RSA citizens OR Passport of all Trustees.

Trust Deed.

Letter of authority issued by the master of the high court.

Authorization letter to purchase on behalf of the trust.

Tax clearance certificate (If VAT registered).

Proof of residential address of all Trustees.

Proof of business address for the Trust.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Buyers residing or operating from someone else’s premises must have an Absa declaration completed by the owner of the property where the buyer resides / operates from, accompanied by said owner’s original ID book / Smart Card ID and proof of address at an Absa branch / office stating that the buyer is living at the said owner’s address.

A lease agreement may be submitted for those renting from agencies.

Only original documents may be submitted in respect of ID Books, Smart Card IDs, Passports, Valid VISA’s or Traffic Register Certificates.

A driver’s license is required (to be scanned into the system) before any vehicles may be released.

Unfortunately, drivers’ licenses may NOT be used as a proof of identification.

Full payment required immediately after the auction by means of EFT only.

A handling fee of R 2 000 (incl. VAT) payable per vehicle

Terms of Purchase: Bid price + VAT (15%) + handling fee

No vehicles will be dispatched during the auction.

All purchases are to be removed at the buyer’s risk.

Vehicle collections to be arranged by appointment.

Each lot is sold as is and neither the owner nor the seller has the duty to repair.

The purchaser has the duty to repair.

Kindly note that once you bid on a vehicle you are responsible for payment of the vehicle.

No cancellations will be allowed.

Deposits will be forfeited for vehicles not paid for.

Please note that the Lots are Subject To Confirmation.

The Auctioneer’s role is final and binding.

ABSA NOTICES:

• No Absa employees or employees of the seller are allowed to register or buy.

• All FICA documents must be provided before any vehicles will be released

• No smoking is permitted in the building

• Please take note of the fire escapes/exits in the building

• No petrol / batteries to start vehicles

• No repairs to vehicles on the premises will be permitted

• Finance must be arranged prior to auction. Clients must provide a bank release note within 48 hours from conclusion of the sale

• The vehicle is sold as is and neither the owner nor the seller has the duty to repair. The purchaser has the duty to repair

• ABSA (Gauteng) will not be liable for the E-tag after payment has been paid over to the auctioneer

• No buyer changes will be allowed. A person who attends an auction on behalf of another person must produce a letter of authority and register in the name of the person.

SPECIAL RULES REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC RELATED MEASURES:

(In line with the regulated lockdown level in force at the time)

• The above auction will be conducted strictly & exclusively online on the auction day.

• Collection of purchased vehicles will be subject to crowd control measures or on an appointment basis only.

• Any persons allowed into the premises must subject themselves to temperature scanner screening and will only be allowed to enter if no fever is indicated by the scanner.

• Any persons allowed into the premises must wear facemasks before being allowed into the premises & continue wearing it at all times on the premises.

• Any persons allowed into the premises must willingly subject themselves to hand sanitizer measures when entering & at any time requested during their time at the premises.

• Any persons allowed into the premises must willingly complete an attendance register with their personal details for contact tracing purposes.

• Any persons allowed into the premises must willingly subject themselves to social distancing of 2 (two) meters from any other person or auction staff in their proximity and must also respect floor distancing markers at applicable frontline areas.
