Erf 536 is a listed property under the Zanddrift Water User Association’s List Of Rate-able Properties for 3,3 hectare preferred water rights. One hectare preferred water rights equal 10 000 cubic meter of water, split as follows: 7 450 cubic meter reserved in the Brandvlei-Kwaggaskloof Dam and 2 550 cubic meters depending on the availability of riverflow. The 7 450 cubic meter of water are delivered to an enlisted property via a fixed sluice / pipe setting of 40,8 cubic meter per day (i.e. .472 litre / second) for a period of ± 180 days (i.e. during the irrigation season). The 2 550 cubic meter portion of water are delivered during the non-irrigation season, if there are riverflow available (normally during the winter period). Erf 536 are there-for in a normal year entitled to a delivery of 24 585 cubic meter during the irrigation season (i.e. 3,3 x 7 450) and 8 415 cubic meter during the non-irrigation season (i.e. 3,3 x 2 550). All restrictions imposed because of droughts, etc. are calculated on the 7 450 cubic meter portion. The restriction for the current season are 16% (i.e. 84% of enlistment to be delivered).The enlistment are for raw agricultural water and you may use same for agricultural purposes on any part of Erf 536.
